Some comma rules are hard to understand, and they need to be explained better. You don't need a comma when there are not two complete sentences. Look at this example where there is NO comma. I will learn my punctuation rules and use them carefully. Here is another comma rule you can apply to your writing. Use commas when you are listing a series of things. Some people use a comma before the word "and" in their list, and some people do not. Just make sure you are consistent with whatever you decide, and it matches the style of the publication you are writing for.
