*Picture book for preschoolers through first graders, concept book teaching numbers
*A crab and a whale as main characters
*Rating: The illustrations are colorful, and it can help children with numbers. For me, the story is a little all over the place because both Mo and Rick are looking for each other–it might have been better for this age to have one looking and one playing or something. I did like the number games at the end of the book.
Short, short summary: Mo and Rick, a whale and a crab, are looking for each other under the sea with help from other sea creatures. Each page features a number that has to do with the search somehow. The end of the ebook has questions and objects for children to count with answers!

So what do I do with this book?
1. This is a book that would mostly be shared at home with children and parents or maybe home-schooled Kindergarteners. You can use this book to reinforce number skills–counting and recognition of numbers.
2. Mo and Rick are searching for each other with other sea creatures to help. Make a list of sea creatures with your child. Talk about the different characteristics of these animals and how this is taking place in salt water. Where do they find salt water? Where would they find these animals?
