Saturday Writers Youth Writing Camp was a great success. It was a one-day writing camp for kids in 3rd through 7th grades. They worked on three different types of writing: fiction story, poem, and narrative/memoir/essay. They had time to work one to completion and share it if they wanted. We also did activities on show vs tell, revision, brainstorming, and creativity. It was a great day full of laughs, snacks, reading, writing, and play-doh! If you want more information or to be put on the e-mail list for next year’s camp, please leave a comment below or e-mail me at margo (at) margodill.com. (The fee is $15 and you bring your lunch. It’s held in the St. Peters (MO) Cultural Arts Center on Mexico Road.)
