I’m thankful for having the opportunity to love this loyal, old Basset Hound, Hush Puppy, who we had to put to sleep on Tuesday. He lived almost 14 years, and he was a lover of pizza, going bye-bye, and belly scratches. We will miss you, our old friend. Rest in peace.
I wanted to tell you about the Teaching Authors blog’s 10 days of Thanks-giving. They are having a blog round-up of sorts, where anyone–child or adult–can post a thank you OR send your thank yous to them, and then they will post links to different blogs and maybe more on November 30. In the meantime, I want to share my THANKU. It’s a haiku that also says THANKS! Your students/children could easily write these at any time during the holiday season. Again, thanks to the Teaching Authors blog at the link above for the amazing idea.

Without their help, I would never get as much writing done as I do!

Oh Margo! I’m so sorry about Hush Puppy! I KNOW how sad you must be right now…dogs work their way into our hearts, don’t they? I’m glad you have wonderful memories of him. He was very fortunate to have you guys and such a loving home.

So sorry…we lost an old dog a year ago. There is nothing like a good dog.

Diane–we are all doing good knowing that HP could have whatever he wanted to eat on THanksgiving in Doggie Heaven! Down here, he was too sick to get many treats.
